Judge, Seoul Western District Court

Ms Soojin Cho is a judge of the Seoul Western District Court, the Republic of Korea. She has served as a judge since 2009 and has presided over trials in relation to a variety of areas, across civil, criminal and family matters. Ms Cho is a member of the focus group of the Judicial Policy Research Institute of Korea studying private international law issues, including those related to the HCCH Conventions. From 2018 to 2022, she was a team leader of the international cooperation team in KAWJ (Korean Association of Women Judges) and is a member of IATJ (International Association of Tax Judges). Ms Cho was also seconded to the Permanent Bureau of the HCCH between August 2020 and August 2021.
